Academic Writing Sample: The applicant should submit an English sample paper from one of his/her undergraduate courses. S/he should make sure to send what s/he considers to be his/her best example of writing which should provide evidence of his/her ability to conduct research, write analytically and argue persuasively. The sample should be around 3000 words in length. A research proposal between 5-7 pages, type-written in English, on a topic that the applicant finds important and interesting. The proposal should include the research methods that will be employed, and the primary and secondary sources that will be used. Proposals longer than 7 pages and shorter than 5 pages will not be accepted.
