An official transcript showing courses taken and grades received must be submitted.



English Proficiency

The medium of instruction at Boğaziçi University is English.

Applicants must document their proficiency in English at the time of application and in accordance with the provisions set out by Boğaziçi University Senate.

Boğaziçi University English Proficiency Test (BUEPT)

BUEPT exam is conducted by the School of Foreign Languages (YADYOK).

Scores are valid for two years after the test date.

Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL®

TOEFL® (PBT) 550, TWE 4.5

TOEFL® (IBT) 79, TWE 22

TOEFL® (IBT Special Home Edition Test) 79, TWE 22

Scores are valid for two years after the test date.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

IELTS Academic: 6.5, IELTS Academic Writing: 6.5

Scores are valid for two years after the test date.



LYS/SAT score card

Applicants, who participated in LYS exam conducted by ÖSYM or who participated in SAT exam used in university admission, should submit a copy of the exam scores.



High School Diploma

Candidates should submit a copy of the high school diploma.

Candidates, who have completed high school education in a school abroad, is required to obtain a certificate of equivalence for registration to university.



Student Disciplinary Record

Applicants from universities in Turkey must obtain a document showing their disciplinary record from the university they have been enrolled and submit it at time of application.

Applicants whose disciplinary record is shown on their transcript do not need to obtain such a document.

Application Fee

The application fee is 110TL. For payments made from abroad the application fee is €50 or $50.A separate application fee is required by each program applied.Please make sure that you fulfill all requirements for the department you are applying to and that the department does have a quota, before paying the application fee(s). Otherwise, the application fee is non-refundable.
